Commercial HVAC Technician
Commercial Mechanical Services is looking for a Journeyman level technician to join our team with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Commercial Air Conditioning. Our service area is Central Florida and the East Coast Brevard and Volusia Counties.
CMS is a Service Contractor focusing on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacement of Commercial HVAC equipment. CMS also installs and maintains Carrier building automation, including CCN and iVu DDC Control Systems.
CMS expects a Service Technician to take care of the customer and the company. A Technician shall respond to dispatched work and take charge of that customer experience. They will communicate with the customer, troubleshoot equipment, order parts, and make repairs. They shall also complete all company work orders, turn in receipts and complete all documentation required for a successful service call.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs preventative maintenance tasks on all types of HVAC equipment to company requirements.
- Capable of troubleshooting all HVAC equipment including but not limited to: packaged units, self-contained units, air-cooled chillers, water-cooled chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, boilers, pumps, variable speed drives, air compressors, and hydronic devices and equipment.
- Shall be familiar with all major brands of equipment.
- Self-starter motivated by solving an owner’s equipment issue and staying with the repair to completion.
- Keeps all work areas complete and orderly.
- Maintains company equipment, including tools and service vehicles.
- A minimum of 10 years of Commercial HVAC experience is required.
- Driver’s License and clean background in order to obtain security clearances as required.
- Universal EPA Refrigerant License
- Ability to read and analyze manuals, electrical wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Understand the business implications of decisions; treats people with respect, inspire the trust of others, follow policies and procedures, and support the organization’s goals and values.
- Must have experience and abide by OSHA guidelines, including lock-out/tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines.
